I have a question about the technique of prayer. I listen to Oleg Gennadievich's lectures for about three months, I pray, unfortunately, not every day, but I try. I pray in the butterfly pose, listening to the voice of the holy man. At first, everything is comfortable, and after 20-30 minutes, numbness of the legs begins: feet, then legs completely. Along with numbness, severe pain in the hip joints gradually appears, and at first stronger in the left. During all this time, a surge of dizziness and inspiration also comes several times. I try not to move, I endure.
Dizziness passes quickly enough, but the numbness of the legs completely disappears about an hour and a half later. All this time I pray. After that, sometimes during the day, the legs hurt, weakness and pain are felt, mainly in the knees. Please tell me, do I do the right thing, sitting out until completely relieved numbness? Oleg Gennadievich once said that he had to sit still no more than 40 minutes. Sometimes I finish my prayer earlier, after sitting up to 40-50 minutes, and numbness disappears after I change the position of my legs. In this case, the legs hurt more sensitively throughout the day.
In recent days, the sequence of numbness has changed. If before it all started with the left foot, now everything is different. Sometimes the right leg begins to go numb, sometimes only the right leg becomes numb. The pain was stronger in the left hip joint, then in the right. And today both ankle joints hurt and the discomfort was there.
Are pain and discomfort associated with the fact that exactly where it hurts, there is treatment and you need to be patient with this and continue to sit still for a long time until completely relieve numbness and pain? Or, sitting still for so long in one position (1.5 hours), can I harm myself? Is it right to go out before the numbness went away on its own? Should you expect discomfort in other parts of the body? Does this mean that recovery begins there?
